Hoof Blocks
Design & Quality
Use for blocking of lame cows.
Lameness is a potentially crippling condition that affects cows, and indeed farmers, all across the globe. With this in mind, here at Beech Timber Slave Tone Ltd, we have turned our incredibly versatile beech wood into cow blocks designed to combat lameness and make the lives of cows all over much more comfortable. This Bulgaria-sourced wood offers characteristics that are perfect for the ideal cow block.
So what is a cow block and how does it work?
Well, it’s all pretty simple really. By attaching the block (clog) to the cow’s healthy claw, the farmer makes it possible for the cow to comfortably raise its infected claw off the ground. This prevents the infection from becoming more serious and allows the healing to commence.
